The design brief for our client’s home was to transform a four-bedroom, four-bathroom mountain home into a modern Whistler cabin that embraced family life and the surrounding mountain lifestyle. Our clients wanted a home that felt warm, inviting, and timeless—a place where family and friends could gather after days spent skiing, mountain biking, and enjoying Whistler’s year-round outdoor adventures. While the home was to embrace a more refined and contemporary aesthetic, it was equally important to preserve the character and authenticity of the original architecture, including the existing log posts, beams, and wood trim that give the home its mountain identity.

To bring this vision to life, we completed a full interior renovation, thoughtfully redesigning every room with an emphasis on purposeful living, enduring materials, and understated luxury. Natural wood, rich textures, and carefully layered finishes create spaces that feel both sophisticated and welcoming, while durable, family-friendly selections ensure the home performs beautifully through every season. By blending contemporary design with the home’s original architectural features, we created a timeless mountain retreat that honours its heritage while reflecting the way our clients live, gather, and experience life in Whistler.
